Choice City DJs

Choice City did everything like we asked them to. Only 2 things I wish we had done is to have an extra microphone and 2 extra speakers. They were perfect!

Damen and Choice City were great and would reccomend them to everyone. Met with him about a month prior to our wedding and went over everything weith him. He was great and answered all of my questions and had everything that we wanted. He was the DJ that also did our event and he was a great help all night long. Our reception ran really smoothly and I credit that all to him.

Damian was great to work with but we didn't meet our DJ, Geoff, until the night of our wedding. He called a couple days before the wedding and asked us questions about things we had gone over in detail with Damian, which was discouraging. He had not seen our playlist, timeline or requests yet and it was frustrating since we had done everything in advance with Damian. The night of the wedding he was a bit late and chose to play songs not on our playlist (including boy bands) instead of completing our entire playlist first and asking for more requests. Other than that, I would highly recommend them. Our night was amazing and it would have been helpful to meet with our actual DJ prior to the event to make sure our requests were clear.

We would rate this DJ a 2 out of 5. Given, we only had one of their 5 DJ's, but we never got to meet our DJ before the event, only with the owner, at the event, the DJ showed up with chew in his lip, didn't play the music we asked for, and rushed us through everything. He started the toasts without the maid of honor in the room even though she specifically asked him to wait until she got back from outside. It wasn't a pleasant experience, and it's the only thing about our wedding that we would rate under a 4.8 - and so would our guests. Sorry Choice City, I can NOT recommend your services.

We hired Choice City DJs for our wedding at Snow Mountain Ranch near Winter Park, CO. I specifically hired them after seeing Chris as a DJ at my friend's wedding in September 2008. I thought he was great, and as I said, specifically requested him and was assured that he would be our DJ. We prepaid in full about a year in advance, we got what I think is a pretty reasonable deal for them to drive up to the mountains for us, considering they bring their own equipment and I didn't have to pay for lodging or anything for them. After booking them, we didn't give it another thought until a couple of days before the wedding when we were having problems with other vendors. We called to confirm with them, and were told that Chris would not be our DJ, but someone else would! What could we do at that point - we just went with it. Anyway I thought the young DJ they sent was just okay. They request that you send them a list of songs you would like to hear by about 2 weeks before the event, which we did. I didn't want to be too controlling about the songs so I pared down our list to about.. maybe 50. And they definitely had every song I had requested. However I was very surprised to learn that beyond our requests, the selection was incredibly small, without very many current songs. And when I say current, I don't mean the ones that came out last month - I mean the past couple of years. I should have micromanaged a little bit more and created an EXHAUSTIVE list for them to potentially play. As I said, I was not all that impressed with the DJ, however, he did have most of the guests, young and old, on the dance floor a lot. But I had two major problems with him that come to mind right now. First of all, when he announced my husband and I, he sort of stopped in the middle of saying our names - obviously checking his paper again to get them right! It was so obvious that the pictures of our entrance include my husband looking at him in disbelief. We have short, common, easy to pronounce names. The second frustration was that he would not play the songs I requested. White dress = bride = play her song requests, stat! Early in the reception, I asked him to play a current dance song. A couple of songs went by, and it didn't come up. Okay, I asked him again. A couple more songs went by, and it didn't come up again! Are you serious? So I asked a third time, and stood there until he started it, and finally got my dance song. Later I made another request that hadn't been played yet, and when I went back a few songs later to ask again, he said in disbelief "Did you REALLY want me to play that song?" Anyway these things are not huge issues, and like I said, we got a good deal, but I wouldn't hire this company again.

Mr. Israel Damian did an amazing job at our wedding. He is a very professional DJ and entertainer. The music choice that he selected was exquisite, perfect for every section of our wedding. He was very easy to work with which aloud me to relax more and enjoy our wedding day. He traveled close to 2,000 miles to make this day possible.
