Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center

The outdoor setting and the reception room in the Lodge were so beautiful. The staff was amazing. They seemed to take a personal interest in the wedding and reception. Service was outstanding!! The owners were tremendously supportive and knowledgable. The rooms were designed for total comfort and had every amenity necessary. Perfect in every way!

From our first meeting in August 2010 our daughter knew Wild Basin was where she wanted to have her wedding. The entire Wild Basin staff and owner were extremely helpful in the following months with wedding planning via e-mails and phone calls. Our daughter and her fiance were married on July 30. The setting in the meadow was beautiful. The friendly and caring staff were very professional and helped to make their wedding a most memorable one. Attention to detail and caring attitudes are hallmarks of the Wild Basin staff. Many of our guests also commented on the delicious dinner and lovely food presentation.

When I was searching for venues, I happen to drive by Wild Basin. I did not have an appointment, but they welcomed me in and gave me a glass of wine....so friendly and welcoming! It was the perfect place...beautiful and natural! Throughout the year, the staff was so patient and helpful with all of my questions. Additionally, they offered a chance to work off some of the wedding cost, which was helpful. The day was so perfect and intimate...gorgeous setting, great food, helpful staff...I would not change a thing!I was thrilled to have our wedding at Wild Basin!

I am SO Thankful for all of the employees and the owners, (Denise and Nils!) When we were looking for a beautiful venue for our wedding, we just about gave up after our search until we visited the Wild Basin Lodge. We were greeted like family by the chef, and Denise (the owner.) It was such a clean, warm attractive place. There was snow outside and from the inside the fireplace was on and we were so tired. Denise and Brent offered us a beer and invited us to look at pictures of weddings. We got to know them and they got to know us. We also had some financial concerns as we were together for almost 10 years and really wanted to have an intimate wedding. We really wanted to have great food and a beautiful place to unite our children and our family and closest friends. Denise was very flexible with our concerns. She and the staff helped us plan the wedding of our dreams!! They took such great care of us and our family that we are planning to come back every year and make more memories. They were so good with our children and our out of town guests. We booked all 6 of the rooms and wished there were more but every room was so clean and comfortable! Iut of all the places we visited (and that was probably 60) we were so thankful to have found this treasure! Our pictures are beautiful!!!

What a wonderful experience!!! Each one of us always hope that our wedding day will be special and something to always remmber with fond memories. The Wild Basin Lodge staff made all these dreams a rality. Although our wedding was small, we received every attention to detail from our first contact with the lodge to the actual wedding day. Hillary Hanson did an exceptional job of follow up after I first contacted the lodge. Nothing was left to chance and both my wife and I could not believe the exceptional care that was taken to make our day very special. I cannot recommend a more concentious staff or a more beautiful setting for you to consider for your day. Our wedding was perfect and so far beyond our expectation. This is a beautiful lodge in a beautiful location, but the people and the care that were put into our event were simply remarkable. We could not have felt more welcome. Being in such a family environment helped our two families bond in a way that I did not expect. Every detail was exceptional. The food was perfect and everyone was raving! Glenda and Kala were so helpful to me before and during the wedding, I never expected so much help and support. Jerry became best friends with everyone at the bar! Every time we went back to our room there was a new detail and new surprise waiting for us. I am still overwhelmed with how perfect the day was, and as I shift through my memories I am continually impressed with how smoothly everything went and the fact that I did not have to worry about anything that day. I live in Estes Park and I truly believe there is not a better location for the ceremony or reception in this area. No one has the food, the views, or the people to compare I just cannot recommend Wild Basin more highly. All of my friends are family are simply gushing about the perfection of the day.

Denise and the entire staff at Wild Basin Lodge were just amazing! Everything turned out beautifully and the food was wonderful! They were very flexible and patient with all of our changes and requests. The site is so gorgeous...you won't believe your eyes!

We loved the place from the moment we walked in! Denice and her crew are wonderful. The Enhanced package is well worth not having to deal with the hassle of little details. We are already booked to have dinner there in the near future.

I can't say enough about Wild Basin Lodge. It is an absolutely beautiful location, with the kindest people you will ever meet. Denise, in particular, played a key part in even making my wedding possible! Three months before the wedding, we had some severe financial concerns and considered postponing everything. When I talked with Denise, she personally sat down with me and helped figure out how we could make the wedding happen. Everywhere else we had looked, people basically told us that this is the biggest day of your life and you should plan on spending accordingly. Denise told us that this is a big day, but it shouldn't put you in debt for the next five years of your life. She helped us determine where to spend our money and what was really unnecessary. She went above and beyond to make it the best day of my life (thus far), without bankrupting us. In the end, it absolutely felt like a million dollar wedding! Not only that, but the folks at Wild Basin take care of almost EVERYTHING!! I was not interested in micro-managing, so it was such a relief to find a place that covers details you wouldn't even think to consider. We knew the first time we saw the Wild Basin Lodge that we had found our perfect location, and the first time we met the staff that we could have a beautiful wedding that was “us.” Everything went so well that I am still in awe. The staff was so easy to work with during the planning and helped to keep the day so relaxed. Guests are still telling us about the food, and those who couldn’t come are now regretting it. Our wedding will obviously always be special to us but because of The Wild Basin we didn’t have to give up our lives to planning.

Everyone told me that I would cry when I found my dream dress. I hated shopping for my dress. But, I did burst into tears when we met Denise at Wild Basin. We were planning a small wedding (only 30 guests) and she was willing to bend over backwards for every small request that we had. The location is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is top notch. The food is amazing. The staff at Wild Basin was responsible for making our wedding day the day of our dreams.

For one, the venue was wonderful. Picture a minature red rocks amphitheater with a creek running behind the stage (really the deck). Very picturesque. There is also a meadow area. If you do not want to be outside, there are two indoor venues or you can rent the whole lodge. There are enough rooms for a small extended family. All rooms have views of the creek. Denise and Nils (the owners) are extremely sweet and helpful. They are flexible to your needs and the staff is very helpful as well. For the price there is a lot of value: you have the venue, the tables/chairs/table settings, and catering included. You are responsible for the decorations and the cake (if you do any of this yourself you can save a little here.) The staff will help take down decor for you as well. My recommendation, if you can afford it is to at least rent out the rooms for two days, so that you can enjoy the experience of your wedding and the area. There is horse back riding close by and hiking. Estes Park and National Forest are only 20 minutes away. (FYI, this is more like a B&B; very mom and pop; if you want the over the top hotel experience this is not it; BUT, if you want the outdoor, forest, colorado feel while only being about an hour from Denver...there is more lodging for guests in Estes Park...from higher end hotel, to cabins, condos and motels.) Congrats and enjoy your wedding!

I am 100% satisfied with our experience here - it was WONDERFUL!! - Owner Denise and her husband are funny, sweet, down to earth and professional - The grounds are gorgeous and natural (not overdone or overly manicured) - The lodge is upscale rustic and natural, they are constantly making improvements! - The 2 locations you can get married (ampitheater by river or the meadow) are gorgeous - The honeymoon and regular suites are spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable - The food is DELICIOUS I love that they do everything: they provide the cermony space, the reception space, the apps and food, the tables, linens, flatware, drinks, coffee, bar - you don't have to think of anything! You will have to get your own music and officiant but that's about it! Oh and invite your family and friends, haha :) You must go see this place - it is wonderful. And a good value for the price.

We had an outstanding experience with the staff and facility at Wild Basin. Denise and Nils were very professional and the entire staff met the needs of our guests with very friendly service. The food was excellent; my brother in law commented on the high quality and he is a French chef! My guests stayed in Estes Park, and I would suggest making early reservations for hotels to meet their needs. The scenery was exactly what we hoped for with the view of the mountains being lovely from the outside deck. We had photographs taken at the nearby lake that were show stoppers. Some of the extras included our own dinner later that night that was brought to our room, breakfast the next day and the offer to be able to return in the future. We have gone back to visit and Denise shared her time, wine and deck with us despite her busy schedule. My husband and I were looking for a beautiful, natural setting with easy elegance, and Wild Basin fit the bill. We will never forget our experience and the comfort of being able to rely on professionals to address all of our needs.

Our daughter, Mandy, was married at the Wild Basin on May 22, 2006. The idea of planning a wedding so far away was a concern for us, but with the staff's emails and phone calls, it became a little less of a concern. When we arrived, the staff made things even easier. They were all so kind and accommodating. I would like to say a huge “thank you” to the bridal coordinator for helping me so much when I was “about to lose it!” She were wonderful! All of you were so easy to work with. Wild Basin is so beautiful and we were glad our daughter chose the location to get married. Maybe someday we’ll make it back to Wild Basin!

WILD BASIN is soo beautiful! Our wedding day was PERFECT! We got married 5 yrs ago at Wild Basin Lodge...and just went there for 5th anniversary. Wild Basin is one of the most beautiful, peaceful, friendly and exquisite places to get married...and what an awesome place to return to celebrate your many anniversaries to come. The owners Denise & Nils are such incredible people they and their staff are awesome...they were so helpful & friendly. Our wedding was a beautiful experience that we and our guests said they would never forget.. the beauty of the Rocky Mountains (Mt. Copeland & Longs Peak, etc), the beautiful river..as well as the gorgeous lodge. It was a perfect romantic, yet comfortable setting for a very memorable day.. We couldn't have asked for more! We were so blessed and fortunate to have found Wild Basin & had the privilege of being married there. Despite the rain, everything went so well! I always felt like everything was taken care of and the venue knew how to ease an anxious bride’s nerves. The Wild Basin made everything so easy for us and were always ready to accommodate our wishes. The whole staff knew how to make us feel like family. I am so happy we chose Wild Basin as our wedding site!

We've never met nicer people who helped make everything run so smoothly. Even our other venders made comments that they helped everything go well with few and minor problems. Very understanding and accommodating, they also were very clear it was our day and double checked what others told them with us. Highly Recommended!!!!

We just got married June23, 2011. We loved every minute of the preparation and wedding with these guys. The location and views had me in love with the site before we booked the wedding. No matter where you decide to have your wedding on their property you will have gorgeous pictures. As far as the planning goes they walk you through every step and keep you reminded of what needs to be done. We had a very small intimate wedding and I still feel like a princess because the entire staff was concerned with how I was doing. We made a few last minute changes and they had no problem doing things to make it the way we wanted. We had everyone from Grandparents all the way down to toddlers both in the wedding and at the reception and they were very accommodating. The children loved getting to explore the outside area. There food is always amazing and can be changed to meet your needs. We gave them the recipe to our favorite Pico de Gallo, and they made it for us perfectly.
